Job Description
Join Optum as a Senior Patient Services Representative where you will enhance patient experiences through effective communication, appointment management, and report oversight. This role is vital in ensuring patients receive the best care and support in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare weekly reports on appointment status and patient information
Oversee membership reports and ensure current patient data
Coordinate initial patient contact and verify eligibility
Prepare and mail new patient packets
Initiate Comfort Care appointments as needed
Complete monthly membership reports
Coordinate with customer service for unreachable patients
Validate patient attestation sheets
Schedule appointments and manage patient follow-ups
Assist with patient check-in and check-out
Mentor and train new team members
Perform all related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
2+ years of experience working in a medical environment
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Basic knowledge in EPRG and Medicare Advantage quality requirements
Ability to mentor and train others
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
ICD10 and CPT coding experience preferred
Planning, organizing, conflict resolution, negotiating and interpersonal skills
Leadership or mentorship responsibilities/roles
Independent problem identification/resolution and decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks
Bilingual - Spanish/English
