Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Marianna, FL 32446 (Northwest Florida healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Acute care hospital – Med/Surg/Telemetry unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm – 7am)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/25/2025 – End: 2/24/2026)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)
• Unit Size: 25-28 beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6 (maximum 1:7)
• Orientation: 1 day general orientation plus 1 shift unit-specific orientation
• Parking: Free staff parking near Emergency Room
• Cafeteria: Open daily with excellent food options (Morrison's managed)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1260–$1350 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida or compact state)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience in an acute care setting
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred (at least 15-18 months total RN experience)
• Ability to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) based on skill set
• Strong clinical communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to physicians and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments using Omnicell dispensing system
• Operate Baxter Sigma IV pumps and Nihon Kohden cardiac monitors
• Document patient care in CPSI - Evident Thrive EMR system
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and routine assessments
• Float to PCU as needed, within scope of experience
• Work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation as required
