**Job Description: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift (12H)**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team for 12-hour night shifts in our newly established 12-bed Med/Surg department. This position primarily focuses on providing exceptional patient care in an acute care setting, working closely with our Resource Pool staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg environment.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, performing necessary interventions to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
- Uphold patient safety and adhere to infection control policies.
- Document patient care accurately and comprehensively using the EPIC charting system.
**Requirements:**
- Current BLS (AHA) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Ability to manage a maximum patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring high standards of care.
- Flexibility to work weekends and accommodate departmental needs.
**Contract Details:**
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week), with weekends as scheduled.
- Contract Duration: 91 days (with the possibility of extension).
