Key Responsibilities
Processes MRI scan sequences and verifies demographics and technical information
Participates as a member of a specialized medical team in performing MRI scans
Assesses patients' conditions and administers first aid as required
Confers with Supervisor to recommend changes and report problems
Monitors equipment performance and reports issues
Assists in the clinical instruction of technologists and students
Provides care for physically and mentally compromised patients
Monitors compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program in an AMA approved educational institution
Current State of Maryland licensure as Radiological Technologists
Certification by American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT)
CPR BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to complete initial (or as directed) competency on IV injections
Able to complete all MR examination types including cardiac pace maker, pediatric and anesthesia supported cases
