Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and play a key role in ensuring the reliability of our heavy-duty vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various systems on diesel trucks, contributing to our mission of providing top-quality waste management services while maintaining a family-style work culture.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of diesel heavy trucks and engines
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns when on call
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
Must provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems
Knowledge of diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool
Familiarity with DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
