Travel Med/Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift – Alamosa, Colorado

Key Job Details – Med/Surg RN Travel Contract

• Location: Alamosa, CO 81101 (Colorado healthcare jobs)
• Position: Travel Med/Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Float Pool (ICU & Med/Surg units)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 – 06:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed hours)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1590-$1710
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Yes, between main campus and sister facility (15 minutes apart)
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
• Scrub Color: Employee preference

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Colorado or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; NIH and TNCC preferred
• Experience with Meditech charting preferred
• Ability to float between healthcare facilities as needed
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31)
• Two supervisor references from the last 18 months required

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Med/Surg and ICU environments
• Float between main campus and sister facility to support staffing needs
• Perform advanced clinical procedures: para/thoracentesis, intubation, central and arterial line placement
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; provide care for ventilated patients
• Administer emergency medications and blood products
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and more)
• Participate in rapid response teams as needed
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using MediTech Expanse
