The Opportunity
As an Information Risk Consultant withinthe Privacy, Data, and AI Governance team you willhelp MassMutual to define and implement an enterprise-wide programtomature our Governance capabilities forData Risks. You willpartner closely withtechnical and non-technical teams across the organization tounderstand theirdifferent needs, propose solutions, and work on their implementation.In this role, you will have the opportunity to influencethe tools, data and processes that are required to maintain a soundGovernance model for Data and AI.The ideal candidate will be able toidentifykey areas ofimprovement andwork collaboratively within Enterprise Technology andBusiness Units toenhance key Data and AI capabilities, such as inventory,cataloguing, and data quality.
The Team
This position is part of the Data and AI Governance Capabilities team, whosupports MassMutual’s abilitytoresponsibly and ethically achieve its business objectives using data and AI.This department is in a unique position toact as a bridge between technical teams and Business Units for data and AI, in a rapidlychangingenvironment.
The Impact:
- Managesindependentlythe processtoidentifynew requirements or current gaps for Data and AI Governancetools
- Proactively builds relationship withBusiness Units at MassMutual, understanding their maturity level and pain points related to Data and AI Governance
- Works in a collaborative way with Enterprise Architecture, Development teams,and Governance and Risk departments to defineand implementData and AI Governancesolutions
- Interacts with vendors, ensuring quality of the service, andidentifyingopportunities for improvement
- Supports other teamsexecuting operational activities for Data and AI Governance,by providing solutionsthat help improvetheir processes and the data they are managing
- Leadsparts of the non-technical aspects of theimplementation of toolsnecessaryto supportData and AI Governance controlobjectives, acting as Product Ownerfor specific capabilities within the toolset
- Innovation:continuously look within and beyond the job,anticipatingbusiness needs and opportunities
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree,preferablyin Computer Science, Data Science, Data Management, Analytics, orsimilar majorsrelated degree
- 8+yearsof experience on Data Governance, Information Governance, or Data Managementprograms, preferably within financial services or other regulated industry
- 8+ years of experience working on strategic, cross-functional, enterprise-wide initiatives, with a high degree of change management
- 5+ years of experiencecreating materials for executive level audience
The Ideal Qualifications
- Knowledge of widely accepted data governance frameworks
- Relevant professional certifications from institutions such as DAMA, ARMA or ISACA
- Ability to work independentlyon highly visible and strategic initiatives
- ExpertisewithData Governance platforms such as Alation, Collibra, Informaticaor InfoSphere.
