Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and visitors courteously
  • Verifies insurance information and registers new patients
  • Schedules and arrives patients for appointments
  • Collects co-pays and other payments at time of service
  • Assists with paperwork for therapy visit pre-certification
  • Answers telephone and manages appointment confirmations
  • Performs clerical duties such as copying and filing
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information
  • Opens or closes the clinic facility

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service or office related experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency
  • Ability to travel 25% to Manhattan and Sunnyside practices if needed for coverage
  • Ability to attend training in Lake Success, NY

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical front office position
  • Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
