This full-time role involves a variety of responsibilities, including patient registration, appointment scheduling, and maintaining communication within the care team.
Key Responsibilities
Greets patients and visitors courteously
Verifies insurance information and registers new patients
Schedules and arrives patients for appointments
Collects co-pays and other payments at time of service
Assists with paperwork for therapy visit pre-certification
Answers telephone and manages appointment confirmations
Performs clerical duties such as copying and filing
Maintains confidentiality of patient information
Opens or closes the clinic facility
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service or office related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency
Ability to travel 25% to Manhattan and Sunnyside practices if needed for coverage
Ability to attend training in Lake Success, NY
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a medical front office position
Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
Knowledge of medical terminology
Bilingual in Spanish and English
