Job Description
Join Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital as a Certified Nurse Midwife and make a meaningful impact on women's health. You'll provide comprehensive care during pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond, all within a supportive community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive women's health care focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum needs
Perform inpatient care and manage minor complications
Conduct comprehensive history and physical exams
Provide in-patient obstetrical care including delivery and postpartum management
Prescribe treatments and medications
Provide individualized client teaching and counseling
Participate in peer review and audits
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in related field
Current licensure in the state of California (RN and CNM)
Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) or the ACNM Certification Council
Current furnishing number and DEA license
Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school/university of nurse-midwifery
Three (3) years’ experience preferred
Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation
Certification in Limited OB ultrasound
