Travel Nursing Job Details

• Shift: Night shifts (12 hours); 3 shifts per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio or compact state
• BLS Certification (required before first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
• Initiate and coordinate patient education and discharge planning from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure safety and continuity of care
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and procedures
• Contribute to positive unit operations and participate in team building
• Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
