Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you'll inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel trucks and equipment. Enjoy a supportive work culture that values both corporate standards and a family-style atmosphere. On-the-job training is available for entry-level candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns when on call
Complete other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Meet physical and safety requirements
Provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting DPF systems and diagnostic software
