Overview
A large health system is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support specialized cardiovascular procedures including cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology exams. This role is ideal for professionals with strong procedural knowledge, technical expertise, and a commitment to safe, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cardiac cath, EP, and vascular studies in accordance with physician protocols and regulatory standards
- Serve as a lead resource to clinical staff, ensuring optimal team performance and patient outcomes
- Prepare patients and procedure rooms, assist with draping and equipment setup
- Maintain and calibrate imaging and procedural equipment; troubleshoot and coordinate repairs as needed
- Participate in Universal Protocol and site marking identification
- Integrate current best practices and professional development into daily workflow
- Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and accreditation standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP cases (required)
- ARRT or RCIS certification (required)
- ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications (required)
- Active Texas Medical Radiologic License (required at time of submission)
- Experience in ICU, ED, or Cath/EP Lab settings (preferred)
- Previous travel experience (preferred)
Additional Details
- Work week: Wednesday–Tuesday
- Weekend schedule: To be determined by facility
- OT/Holiday/Callback: Paid at 1.5x
- Cancellation policy: Max 3 per 13-week contract
- Facility type: Short-term acute care, cancer center, teaching hospital
- Compliance: Full documentation required prior to start
- First-time travelers accepted with required experience
