Job Description

Position Purpose

Upholds the Credit Union’s mission of “We do the right thing one member, one employee, and one experience at a time to strengthen the communities we serve” by assisting Dealers by telephone or email by quickly reviewing and processing loan information. Receives and processes their transactions, requests, and concerns with an enthusiastic quality service and member advocacy orientation. Also assists Member Service Reps in non-member contact responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities

Assists dealers by telephone and via email by operating an on-line computer terminal to process their requests.
Books Dealer Contracts. Upon receiving the contract, inputs the final information from the dealer, funds and uploads the loan to DNA. Disburses contract funds and processes dealer fee.
Talks with dealers about their concerns, including, but not limited to problems with contracts, documentation, and vehicle title questions.
Performs miscellaneous duties including but not limited to processing Loan Payoffs, Lien Perfections, Vehicle Titling & Registration, Welcome Letters, and Missing Documentation.
Opens accounts for new members obtained through Indirect Loans.
Scans new dealer loans into Velocity and files.
Assists other Branches when information is needed from loan files.
May train new employees.
Prepares paid loan information including, but not limited to, sending the proper documentation to the member and dealers, and assisting members and other financial institutions with pay-off requests.
Performs quality review audits to ensure accuracy of the indirect loans

Necessary Experience and Qualifications

Ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed and sometimes technical instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals as normally acquired through completion of a high school education.
Ability to operate an on-line computer terminal (including a good working knowledge of the core computer system, Velocity, DNA, Dealertrack, RouteOne, Allied CenterPoint, email, and internet), fax machine and adding machine normally acquired through a basic course or one to three months of on-the-job experience.
Working knowledge of the products, services, and procedures needed to process transactions as normally acquired through three to six months of on-the-job experience, at least one of which is with the Credit Union.
Ability to closely examine documentation. Requires a high degree of accuracy.
Analytical ability necessary to research and resolve loan questions.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and efficiently with a diverse group of employees in stressful situations. Requires communication/listening skills necessary to effectively obtain necessary information to make lending decisions.
Ability to stay in one place for extended periods of time, handle a fast-paced working atmosphere, and to transport objects weighing between five and twenty pounds for one percent of work time.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Office environment with moderate level of noise
Frequent use of telephone, copier, computer, fax machine and other office machines
Prolonged sitting or standing
Frequent mental and visual concentration
Minimal lifting of up to 25 pounds
