Job Description
Join Optum as a Patient Services Representative and thrive in a supportive healthcare environment. You'll play a vital role in enhancing patient care by providing exceptional service, managing patient registrations, and ensuring efficient operations within a multi-specialty team.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and register patients in a prompt and pleasant manner
Instruct, direct, and schedule patients and visitors
Receive payments from patients and issue receipts
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Support team in meeting financial and clinical goals
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or higher
1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
Experience working with an electronic health record
Experience working with scheduling programs
Knowledge of minimal medical terminology
