Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Westminster, CO 80023 (Denver metro area)
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (10/27/2025 – 1/31/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirements: 6-9 shifts every 6 weeks
• On-call Requirements: Remain on call for census changes; may be placed on low census for a shift
• Floating: May be required to float to other healthcare facilities within 60 miles
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2310 - $2470

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a participating NLC state
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN certification
• Strong clinical skills in IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
• Ability to float to other nursing units or healthcare facilities as needed

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Assess and address patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs in a Labor & Delivery setting
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, and specimen collection
• Educate patients and families, assess learning readiness, and evaluate teaching effectiveness
• Advocate for patient safety, rights, and preferences throughout the labor and delivery process
• Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel according to hospital policy
• Serve as a professional role model and mentor for new nursing staff and students
• Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and nursing research activities
• Maintain accurate professional records and pursue ongoing nursing education
• Float to other units or healthcare facilities within the designated Colorado area as needed
