Scope of Role:
Provide nursing care to patients of all ages presenting to the ER in a Level III trauma center, ACC Chest Pain/STEMI center, and Joint Commission Acute Ready Stroke Center. Accountable for clinical assessment, interventions, and coordination of care for emergency patients.

Requirements:

• 1+ years ED RN experience in a hospital setting

• Minimum of 2 previously completed travel assignments

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC

• Strong ED experience

• Drip titration and ventilator management experience

• Preceptor or charge experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in patient care

• Delegate and supervise staff assignments effectively

• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
