Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray / Diagnostic Imaging)

Location: Clinton, IL 61727
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift: Night Shift | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Primarily Sunday–Thursday
On-Call: Occasional weekend and on-call rotation

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team in Clinton, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing diagnostic radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation equipment and demonstrate strong knowledge of human anatomy, imaging techniques, and radiation protection practices.

This position requires an individual who can work independently on the night shift , maintain a high standard of patient care, and adapt to a variety of clinical situations. CT experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols.
• Prepare, position, and instruct patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely while ensuring adherence to radiation protection guidelines for patients and staff.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic accuracy and quality prior to submission to radiologists.
• Maintain proper documentation, imaging records, and patient information in the EMR system.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist in maintaining imaging equipment and reporting service needs promptly.
• Participate in occasional on-call and weekend rotations as scheduled.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program – Required
• ARRT Certification (R) – Required
• Active Illinois State Radiologic Technologist License – Required
• BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent diagnostic imaging experience – Preferred
• CT experience – Preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and assist in patient positioning and transfers
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, anatomy, and image acquisition
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
