Job Description
Citizens is seeking a Business Development Officer to spearhead its SBA lending program. This role involves sourcing and closing new loan opportunities while maintaining strong referral networks and collaborating with internal teams to ensure a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a business plan and marketing strategy
Maintain a referral network for lead generation
Guide lending opportunities through the application process
Apply understanding of bank credit policy and underwriting guidelines
Participate in local SBA district events
Manage a pipeline of SBA loan opportunities
Establish strong referral networks
Collaborate with Business Banking partners
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in SBA lending
In-depth knowledge of SBA loan programs
Strong understanding of financial analysis and credit underwriting
Exceptional sales and negotiation skills
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field
