Join XPO as a Fleet Shop Manager and lead a dedicated maintenance team to ensure efficient fleet operations. You’ll be responsible for mentoring staff, overseeing equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, all while enjoying a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
Manage maintenance team employees and contingent workers including hiring, mentoring, scheduling, training, and performance management
Oversee equipment maintenance and out-of-service equipment
Facilitate the Job Selection/Shift Bid process for shop employees
Ensure routine maintenance functions and work orders are completed accurately and on time
Manage inventory levels and shop cycle counts
Review and research trends in parts utilization and shop efficiency
Monitor safety, service, quality, efficiency, and compliance in the shop
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience in fleet maintenance
A valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree
Current ASE certifications
Current CDL
Less-than-Truckload (LTL) experience
Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Able to lead and motivate others
Excellent time management skills
