Job Description

Join XPO as a Fleet Shop Manager and lead a dedicated maintenance team to ensure efficient fleet operations. You’ll be responsible for mentoring staff, overseeing equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, all while enjoying a competitive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance team employees and contingent workers including hiring, mentoring, scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and out-of-service equipment
  • Facilitate the Job Selection/Shift Bid process for shop employees
  • Ensure routine maintenance functions and work orders are completed accurately and on time
  • Manage inventory levels and shop cycle counts
  • Review and research trends in parts utilization and shop efficiency
  • Monitor safety, service, quality, efficiency, and compliance in the shop

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance
  • A valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree
  • Current ASE certifications
  • Current CDL
  • Less-than-Truckload (LTL) experience
  • Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to lead and motivate others
  • Excellent time management skills
