Key Responsibilities
Maintain the physical plant and essential mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment in safe operating condition
Demonstrate technical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions
Coordinate and oversee activities of outside contractors and trades-people
Manage departmental budget, ordering supplies and tracking inventory
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, codes, and regulations
May supervise housekeeping and laundry departments
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of three years physical plant and equipment experience in an institutional environment with supervisory or management responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in HVAC
