Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines during their most joyful and challenging moments. You will lead worship services, perform religious ceremonies, and counsel service members while enjoying benefits like free housing and health insurance.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel
Train lay leaders in religious education
Promote attendance at religious services and retreats
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
