Job Description

As the Transportation Director at Sysco, you will lead the delivery operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficiency in service. You will manage a team, oversee budget and performance metrics, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Direct daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors and routing personnel
Ensure management effectively manages delivery activities
Assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Prepare work schedules and oversee resource utilization
Monitor delivery service efficiency and profitability
Communicate with Sales Management and Marketing to resolve delivery issues
Conduct regular meetings to maintain associate relations and morale
Coordinate with Safety department for training and inspections
Perform management functions including staff selection and performance reviews

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
7 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
Complete a Sysco approved defensive driving program
HazMat and Doubles Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting Company standards preferred
