Travel Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech) – CST

Shift: AM, 3x12s (36 hours/week)
Hours/Day: 12
On-Call: Required – 6 weekdays and 6 weekends in a 6-week rotation
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist (CST) for a one-year assignment in Bridgeport, CT . This role supports multiple surgical specialties with a focus on orthopedics , providing skilled perioperative assistance in a high-volume operating environment.
Scrub and circulate during surgical cases across multiple specialties including:
General Surgery
Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho)
Urology, ENT, Neuro (cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy)
Plastics (abdominoplasty, breast augmentation)
GYN
Orthopedics – total knee replacements, total hips (anterior and posterior approach)
Maintain sterile field and proper instrumentation setup
Assist surgeons with patient positioning, instrument handling, and procedural support
Participate in patient safety and infection control practices
Work occasional weekends and afternoon/evening shifts as needed (~30% 1p–11:30p)
Actively credentialed CST with NBSTSA – required
Minimum 1 year of recent surgical experience preferred
Experience in general, robotic, orthopedic, neuro, plastics, and GYN procedures
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-volume OR
Strong communication and teamwork skills
On-call availability as required
Primary: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours/week
Secondary: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 30% of shifts per department needs
On-call: 6 weekdays & 6 weekends in a 6-week rotation
