Job Description

Description The Assoc. Manager, External Reporting – Executive Comp & Benefits is responsible for leading the monthly, periodic, and quarterly reporting processes for stock compensation and benefits accounting. The role also provides quarterly and annual forecasts to various brand teams and works cross-functionally with HR and Treasury to provide input on compensation plan design and pension accounting matters. This high-visibility, collaborative role is viewed as a trusted business partner to teams and functions around the world. Salary Range: $108,000-127,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors. Responsibilities: # Lead accounting for compensation programs and benefit plans including preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, related account reconciliations, financial planning and analysis for corporate level accounts including share-based compensation expense and pension expense. # Consult with Yum Total Rewards team and actuaries for design/alterations to compensation and healthcare plans. # Provide assistance to the YUM Technical Accounting function including coordination of the global SOX assessment evaluating the impact of new accounting and reporting requirements and assisting with ad hoc projects. # Support preparation of 10-Q, 10-K and proxy statement SEC filings including preparation of footnotes and MD&A. # Supervise one part-time direct report, including providing coaching and support to the External Reporting Accounting intern. Minimum Requirements: # CPA designation #5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience # Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office suite # Ability to balance workload and drive process improvements and efficiencies Preferred Requirements: # Public Accounting experience # Experience with Hyperion Financial Model (HFM) and JD Edwards # Demonstrated success in working on cross functional teams and strong interpersonal skills Benefits: Employees (and their eligible family members) may enroll in the following types of insurance coverage: medical, dental, vision, legal, and accidental death and dismemberment, as well as FSA/HSA (depending on enrolled medical plan).
