Registered Nurse Job Details

  • Location: Alamosa, Colorado (81101) – Colorado healthcare jobs
  • Assignment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
  • Unit: Float Pool (ICU & Med/Surg)
  • Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:00)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
  • Guaranteed Hours: Yes
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Float Requirement: Yes, including to a sister facility 15 minutes away
  • Scrub Color: Employee preference
  • Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1590 - $1710

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU and Med/Surg nursing experience required
  • Active Registered Nurse license (state or compact) required for Colorado nursing jobs
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required
  • NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse charting preferred
  • Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31)
  • Two supervisor references from the last 18 months required
  • First-time travel nurses accepted with adequate experience

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in ICU and Med/Surg settings
  • Assist with procedures: para/thoracentesis, intubation, central and arterial line placement
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; care for ventilated patients
  • Respond as part of the rapid response team
  • Administer blood products, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, manage sedation and paralytics
  • Utilize infection prevention protocols and maintain isolation precautions
  • Float to sister facility as needed and adapt to various unit assignments
  • Document patient care using Meditech Expanse
