Job Description
Join Citizens as a Business Banking SBA Business Development Officer, where you'll spearhead loan opportunities using SBA programs. With a focus on customer-centric service, you'll develop marketing strategies, maintain referral networks, and ensure compliance while driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a personal business plan and marketing strategy
Maintain a referral network for lead generation
Structure and guide lending opportunities through the application process
Ensure adherence to bank credit policy and underwriting guidelines
Participate in local SBA district events
Manage a pipeline of SBA loan opportunities
Establish strong referral networks for SBA loan origination
Collaborate with Business Banking partners
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in SBA lending
In-depth knowledge of SBA loan programs
Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit underwriting, and risk assessment
Exceptional sales and negotiation skills
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
