• Call Requirement: Yes (2 late stays/week, 1 on-call/week, rotating weekend call every 3 weeks)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Float Requirement: As needed within RN skillset

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred
• Ability to take call and work weekends as scheduled

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, prioritizing patient safety and comfort during all surgical procedures
• Assist with diverse surgeries, including open heart, neurosurgery, appendectomy, orthopedic, cholecystectomy, subdural hematoma, and hernia repairs
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure high-quality clinical support
• Float to other perioperative areas within your nursing skillset as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation, late stays, and weekend shifts as required by the healthcare facility
