Join Fisher Industries as a Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic, where you'll operate and maintain various heavy equipment while traveling to different project sites. This role offers a dynamic work environment and the chance to contribute to innovative global infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
Assist with setup and teardown of plants
Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment
Maintain housekeeping of equipment and plants
Lift objects weighing up to 80 lbs regularly
Use a shovel to move material as needed
Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment
Comply with safety guidelines set by M.S.H.A. and company policy
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years old
Ability to operate equipment efficiently
Mechanical knowledge of equipment
Basic knowledge of welding and cutting torch
Acceptable MVR in accordance with company policy
MSHA part 46 and/or part 48 certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Ability to work well in a team environment
Willingness to travel
