Job Description

Join Fisher Industries as a Geotechnical Engineering Quality Control Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality of aggregates, asphalt, and concrete through rigorous testing. This position offers the opportunity to travel to various work sites while adhering to safety standards and interacting positively with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform aggregate, asphalt, and/or concrete laboratory testing
  • Gather, test and log samples of material
  • Perform field testing at project sites
  • Interact professionally with client representatives and co-workers
  • Maintain accurate records of testing results
  • Assist in research, data collection, and field observation
  • Obtain and maintain current certifications
  • Safely operate nuclear gauge
  • Accept guidance from senior personnel
  • Comply with OSHA/MSHA and company safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Geotechnical Experience
  • Required ATTI Certifications
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 65 lbs. repeatedly daily
  • Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of previous experience in aggregate, asphalt, and/or concrete related lab and field testing
  • Job related certifications
