Position: Step Down Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Contract Length: 13+ Weeks
Type: Travel & Local Candidates Accepted
Schedule: 36 hours/week (3×12 hr shifts)
Start Date: ASAP

Weekly Pay Package: $3,266.00

• Regular Pay: $792.00
• OT Pay: $594.00
• Stipend: $1,880.00
• Total Weekly Compensation: $3,266.00

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Step Down RN to provide high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and skilled nursing interventions. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong critical-thinking abilities, and deliver exceptional patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a Step Down/Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and physician-ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation per facility standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.

Requirements:

• Active RN license (CA preferred; compact not accepted in CA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Step Down/PCU experience
• BLS & ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical decision-making skills
