Key Responsibilities
Perform specialized tasks utilizing ultrasound to detect abnormalities.
Assist physicians with biopsy procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures and explain them.
Report changes in patient condition to medical staff.
Evaluate quality of sonograms and determine if additional procedures are needed.
Maintain patient records and charge procedures in RIS.
Provide training and direction to new sonographers.
Required Qualifications
Certification from an accredited ultrasound school
One year of experience as an ultrasound technician
Current CPR certification
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray
Current Health certificate
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of experience
Hospital experience
RDMS Certification
