Job Description
Join MUSC as a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II and provide exceptional echocardiograms to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric heart conditions. This role involves working with a dedicated team, performing in various settings, and contributing to patient care with a focus on teamwork and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high quality echocardiograms for interpretation by a Pediatric Cardiologist
Organize and prioritize patient exams
Perform clinical Pediatric Echo operations in hospital and procedural settings
Enter full preliminary reports
Take call for the Pediatric Echo Lab
Required Qualifications
Graduation from a Cardiovascular/Ultrasound program or equivalent experience
Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a RDCS or RCCS
Two years minimum pediatric echocardiography work experience
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and congenital heart disease
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification
Associate of Arts/Science or a Bachelor’s degree
Fetal Echo and research experience
Echocardiography experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Cath Lab
