The RN Operating Room ASC at UCHealth provides direct nursing care in a surgical setting, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. This role involves preparing the operating room, monitoring patients, and assisting with surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the operating environment and assess patients
Monitor and communicate patient condition during surgery
Maintain sterile fields and control traffic in the operating room
Handle surgical instruments and perform surgical counts
Provide nursing care to high acuity surgical patients
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
6 months of OR nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certification in Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
