Job Description
Join University Health's Transplant Program as an Advanced Practice Provider, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with specialty physicians. Play a vital role in the management of transplant patients and contribute to meaningful advancements in transplant medicine and research.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments and manage pre- and post-transplant care
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Monitor transplant patients for complications and coordinate care transitions
Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and long-term care requirements
Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited PA program
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Board certification as an NP or ACNP
Current licensure to practice as a PA or NP in Texas
National certification (NCCPA, ANCC, or AANP)
Current AHA BLS certification
Valid DEA license or eligibility to obtain within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in transplant or relevant acute care specialty
