Interventional Radiology Technologist

Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Call Requirement: On-call every 3rd or 4th weekend, beginning Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM

Position Summary:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist will support a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma Center performing both peripheral vascular and neurovascular interventional procedures. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in complex IR cases and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Perform a wide range of procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripheral and vascular studies, drainages, venous access, and neurological interventions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating roles for peripheral and neurovascular cases.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other technologists to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure rooms are prepared for procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent cases.

Department Details:
The IR department includes four interventional rooms (two single-plane and two biplane Siemens C-arms). Each room is staffed with two IR technologists—one scrub and one circulator. The department handles Level 1 trauma, pulmonary embolism, and stroke cases , performing a variety of procedures including embolizations, nephrostomies, IVC filter placements, PE and intracranial thrombectomies, stent placements, and central line insertions.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: ARRT and BLS (required)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology with both peripheral and neurovascular experience
