Key Responsibilities

  • Primary responder for system issues involving automated material handling
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades and modifications
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system components
  • Work in teams to resolve problems with innovative solutions
  • Perform audits and quality checks on equipment and systems
  • Diagnose and report on material handling system performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Technical degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of building and equipment maintenance experience
  • Two years maintaining automated material handling systems
  • Complete technical training in electronic controls, power distribution and PLC troubleshooting
  • Experienced using electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools
  • Experienced with reading and interpreting MEP (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing) drawings and schematics
  • High level of understanding of codes such as the NEC, BOCA and UBC
  • Technical skills to become subject matter expert for automated material handling systems
  • Understanding of power distribution, power generation, and control circuits
  • Experience with thermal imaging equipment to detect early failures
  • Experienced with AC drives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Design, implement, and document PLC programming changes
  • Troubleshoot and implement changes to I/O device networks
