Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr

Our Client, a leading organization in the food production sector is searching for a Senior Director, Strategic Procurement with deep expertise in sourcing food ingredients across North America. This individual will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations within key categories including raw materials, packaging, indirect spend, and capital expenditures. This role requires an experienced leader capable of driving transformation, building supplier relationships, and delivering substantial cost savings in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with enterprise-wide objectives to optimize value delivery.

Lead and mentor a team of 2-5 direct reports, fostering growth and operational excellence.

Achieve year-over-year cost improvements through structured sourcing initiatives.

Analyze market dynamics and pricing trends to anticipate business risks and opportunities.

Drive adoption of change management initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Cultivate strategic supplier partnerships focused on cost efficiency, service, and reliability.

Ensure transparent communication with internal leadership on procurement performance and progress.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related field.

At least 10 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in the food manufacturing or CPG industry.

Demonstrated success in leading high-performing procurement teams and delivering measurable savings.

Strong command of sourcing strategies, supplier management, and industry trends.

Adept at navigating matrixed organizations and managing multiple cross-functional projects.

Familiarity with contract negotiation, compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
