Job Description
Join Cargill as an Instrumentation Technician and be part of a dedicated team that focuses on maintaining high-quality food production. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing advanced electrical systems, ensuring food safety, and contributing to a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot advanced electrical systems
PLC programming
Building and installing electrical control packages
Install/troubleshoot/repair networking systems
Repair/troubleshoot production equipment
Read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics
Utilize MRO system
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping
Ensure food safety and quality
Document daily work in maintenance management system
Utilize parts in inventory for repairs
Identify problems and suggest improvements
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Must be able to read and write in the prevalent language of technical literature utilized at the facility
Must have knowledge of hand and power tools
Willingness to participate in HAZMAT membership
Ability to work independently and with other technicians
Education in or willingness to complete courses in relevant technical fields
Preferred Qualifications
Previous industrial maintenance experience
Two year degree that relates to the maintenance field
