Key Responsibilities
Scan insurance cards and verify paperwork
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances
Maintain front office and waiting room
Print schedules for medical assistants and physicians
Balance daily logs and payments
Coordinate patient check-out process
Schedule radiology and provide lab orders
Confirm eligibility and update records in EHR
Issue referrals and obtain authorizations
Answer phone calls from multiple queues
Intake demographic information for new patients
Route calls to appropriate departments
Assist with intake consultation requests
Float between departments as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
2+ years of experience working in a medical environment
1+ years of experience with knowledge of Nevada medical insurances
1+ years of EMR experience
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience mentoring and training others
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
Working knowledge of EPRG and Medicare Advantage quality requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual in English/Spanish
