Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Oregon RN license preferred
• Current nursing certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) or perioperative nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to multiple perioperative roles

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in the Operating Room and perioperative settings
• Serve as RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures
• Provide comprehensive care throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with RN scope of practice and competencies
• Perform secondary roles as scrub nurse or circulator as needed
• Collaborate with the surgical healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold infection control standards
