Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll support a dedicated team in providing high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. Lead and mentor fellow veterinarians, ensuring the highest standards of animal well-being while making a significant impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-quality surgical procedures
Provide compassionate preventive and basic care to patients
Participate in administrative duties including scheduling and communication
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Possess ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
