Job Description
Join Torchy's Tacos as a Kitchen Manager, where you will oversee Back of House operations, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen while fostering a culture of quality and teamwork. This role requires a passionate leader with a knack for developing others and managing food costs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Managing food costs, placing orders, updating pricing, and completing inventories
Selecting, interviewing, and hiring all BOH Team Members
Creating BOH Team Member schedules to meet labor targets
Verifying that BOH Team Members follow recipes and portion servings correctly
Utilizing Mystery Shop and assessment results to develop action plans
Communicating effectively with Team Members
Motivating and leading Team Members in line with Torchys Values
Running shifts and supporting daily operations
Partnering with Learning & Development for Team Member training
Required Qualifications
3+ years of kitchen management experience
State alcohol-server certification
Manager ServSafe Certification
High-level understanding of training and development concepts
Ability to foster teamwork
Leadership skills
Oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects at various heights
