Key Responsibilities
Perform independent microscopic examination of all specimens
Identify and mark abnormal findings
Enter results into computer for reporting
Assist pathologists and physicians in fine needle aspirations
Provide information regarding interpretation of patient results
Conduct correlation studies of discordant results
Stay updated with advancements in technology and regulations
Instruct new personnel and provide information to hospital staff
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
CMIAC - Cytotechnologist Membership in the International Academy of Cytology
American Society for Clinical Pathology Certification
SCT - State of Ohio Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science
Graduate of a CAHEA approved school of Cytotechnology
