Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
- Trauma level II experience highly preferred
- Required Certifications: WI RN License, BLS
- EPIC required
- Float to all inpatient units as needed
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
- On Call/Call Back Requirements: None
- Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 48 hrs
- 12 hr variable day/night shifts
- Contractors must be outside a 50 mile radius of Aspirus Wausau
- Scrub Colors: any color
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Typical patient ratios on days 1:4-5 and on nights 1:6-7
- Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
- Travelers can be put on call during the 36 hours of unbillable low census. If called back in, they will have call back pay
- Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed

- Unit Information: Unit Medical and Pediatrics (Medical and Pediatrics travelers do not take Peds patients)
- The major conditions/most frequent diagnoses treated: Adults - respiratory illnesses, stroke, other neurological conditions (such as seizure disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, chronic back pain), gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, other infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
- Desired skillset: Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely, willingness to ask questions and collaborate with team and ancillary staff to ensure the best patient experience possible. Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes which can occur throughout a shift
- REQUIRED EDUCATION: Associate Degree or Certificate
- PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
- HOLIDAY ROTATION REQUIREMENTS: every other holiday rotation
- SHIFT NOTES: 12hr variables
