We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Travel Nurse for a high-demand position in Iowa. This is a blind offer opportunity, meaning offers are made based on resume/profile submission without an interview.

The ideal candidate has over 2 years of recent Med Surg experience with Neuro/Stroke patient care exposure and is confident working independently with EPIC EMR.

Note: Traveler will be required to float to all campuses within their pertinent skillset and unit they are contracted for.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to adult Med-Surg patients, with a focus on Neurological and Stroke cases
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and update care plans accordingly
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient tracking
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Float to appropriate units as needed, based on skills and assignment

Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Med-Surg RN experience
• Demonstrated experience with Neuro/Stroke patient management
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred, but not required
• BLS (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Licensure:
Active Iowa RN license OR Compact State license in good standing
