Job Description

Join Lincoln Electric as a Designer/Drafter to support our Plant Engineering team in implementing capital projects. You will be responsible for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, contributing to innovative design solutions that enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Plant Engineers and other departments with 3D modeling and drafting
  • Reverse engineer components from physical parts or legacy drawings
  • Create and modify electronic files using document management systems
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of templates and schematics
  • Maintain mechanical CAD procedures and standards
  • Support internal and external fabrication through file creation
  • Document existing production and facility support equipment
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Education or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in design and drafting
  • Technically proficient in Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Experience with data management systems (PDM/PLM)
  • Experience with measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft software applications
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposed to machine shop or metal manufacturing processes
  • Highly motivated to quickly learn 3D CAD drafting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving mindset
