ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend requirement with 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• Work holidays based on unit coverage in permanent staff rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Level I trauma experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed, if failed, do not use for 6 months)
• Must complete pass/fail Day 1 SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Additional training includes lifts, restraints, and wound care (educational based)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing skills required, psychiatric experience preferred
• Dress code: Navy scrubs and panic buttons required
• Use Cerner EMR system
• May float to ED psych holds or possibly to Med/Surg floors
• 2-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Work on 14-bed Visual Monitor Unit (VMU) specializing in patients with mental illness
• Care for medical patients with secondary psychiatric diagnosis, confused patients, dementia, and patients with low cognitive ability
• All patients are video monitored by security on unit
• Average length of stay is 4 days
