Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for animals
Ensure high quality, low stress patient and population care
Manage and coach behavior staff
Lead research projects related to animal behavior
Collaborate with various teams to enhance animal welfare
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Master’s or PhD degree in animal Behavior or related discipline (for non-veterinary candidates)
DVM degree from AVMA accredited veterinary school (for veterinary candidates)
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Effective communication with all levels of staff
Comfortable with humane euthanasia decisions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in shelters
Interest in developing/overseeing research projects
