Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy / GI Procedure is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic and gastrointestinal procedures. The RN works collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care before, during, and after procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for endoscopic and GI procedures, including assessment, education, and obtaining informed consent.
  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by handling instruments and monitoring patient status.
  • Administer medications, including moderate sedation, and monitor patient responses throughout the procedure.
  • Provide post-procedure care, including recovery monitoring and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient assessments, and medications administered.
  • Ensure infection control and safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.

Qualifications:

 

  • Required Certifications: NY RN License, BLS and ACLS through AHA
  • 2 years of recent experience as RN - Endoscopy/GI Procedures
  • Covid Card
