Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Billing Department
  • Streamline billing and collections processes
  • Develop, review, and revise policies and procedures
  • Implement a quality assurance plan for compliance
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings for education and communication
  • Standardize methods for work completion
  • Monitor accounts receivables and improve collections
  • Ensure timely patient statement and delinquent notice distribution
  • Create and implement training programs for staff
  • Respond to escalated concerns from various stakeholders
  • Monitor staff performance and conduct evaluations
  • Counsel and discipline staff as necessary
  • Approve timesheets and PTO requests
  • Assist other departments as required

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years managerial/supervisory experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years in medical billing
  • Experience in assessing and conducting training programs
  • Computer skills with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of current insurance billing requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Ability to travel
  • Passes company drug testing program pre-hire and thereafter on a periodic and/or random basis
